There is a reason why some scores feel extremely easy-to-read and some are a real nightmare - and this reason might often times not be the music itself.

Ultimately, it all comes down to engraving. Engraving is the art of organising a score so that it is straigth-forward, and so that the notation iteslf does not stand in the way of the music behind it.

As a musical engraver, I make sure that every element of your score is right where it should be, offering engraving services that will guarantee the readability of your score.

I can work from manuscripts, pdf files, midi files, .sib and XML. files. I also work with complex contemporary notation and graphical scores.

Rates:

Because of the uniqueness of each score, it is hard to set a fixed rate for music preparation. For this reason, I set my rates by hour of work. I price around 35€/h, although this might vary depending on the complexity of the project.

The initial quality of the files – that is, the readability of the manuscripts and pdfs, and the initial formatting of the sib. and XML. – affect the prices directly, given that it can drastically increase the time needed to complete a given work.

If you are a student or a professor looking for music preparation services on a low budget, I can also offer reduced rates. Feel free to contact me with your ideas!
