Composing and engraving are both extremely important parts of music production. But until you have properly-prepared parts for your musicians to play, nothing can be done.
Although it might seem simple to extract parts with our current score editing softwares, part preparation is an art of its own. Make sure your parts will serve the people defending your music in front of the public, and that they will not have to struggle with it.

Because of the uniqueness of each score, it is hard to set a fixed rate for music preparation. For this reason, I set my rates by hour of work. I price around 35€/h, although this might vary depending on the complexity of the project.
The initial quality of the files – that is, the readability of the manuscripts and pdfs, and the initial formatting of the sib. and XML. – affect the prices directly, given that it can drastically increase the time needed to complete a given work.
